No 2816 Nyala Straat Marloth Park

tdk from east

Te Do Khaya is a bush house in Marloth Park, a nature reserve in the northeast of South Africa, adjoining the famous Kruger National Park. Marloth is a haven of wildlife, with giraffe, zebra, warthog, kudu, impala (of course), nyala etc. and an amazing variety of birds. Properties in the Park have no fences. Theoretically there are no predatory carnivores although lion, leopard or cheetah occasionally get under the fence from Kruger.

Being a bush house, TDK is in rustic style! However it has most mod. cons and the accommodation includes 3 double bedrooms (1 upstairs with 2 children's beds); open plan kitchen, dining and hall area; upstairs gallery and snug; 2 bathrooms with wc and also a third wc; upstairs balcony and two extensive verandas for morning and evening sun and a splash pool. All bedrooms and the main living area have air-conditioning. Mains electricity is connected. The kitchen has a fullsize cooker and a good sized fridge-freezer. The mains water is normally good. It is fine for tea and coffee and straight from the tap is ok for cooking and washing and brushing teeth.

The garden is bush, with the area around the house cleared. Animals will frequent this area. There is a two-car carport in which zebras are apt to sit when it is hot.
